This may look super weird but that’s what comes in my mind every time I think of the start of the journey with Amal Academy. The reasons behind this are a few. First of all it reminds me of interview process. I submitted the application online and received an email of interview date and time. I was excited and a bit nervous. When the time of interview was near, I was struggling for a quite and uninterrupted place. Which was quite a task given that my house small and crowded. Then I decided to go rooftop so I wouldn’t be interrupted and ill have privacy as well to speak openly without any hesitation. This place has often been my host on nice evenings and nights when I had to relax and enjoy the weather along with earphones on with music I like. So I decided to get done with interview here, sitting on it. Sitting there was a usual act but what it reminds me of is, whenever I think of the start of the journey with Amal is the time. The time was so unusual, I remember it was July 18th somewhat quarter past 2 in the afternoon. It sunny and hot as hell up there. So sunny that I could barely open my eyes comfortably. So hot that I almost had my phone exploded with the heat, given that I was exposed to direct sunlight, on peak time of the sun, in the core summer season. The second thing was the interview itself that was memorable. What made it memorable were my childish answers to the few questions those ladies asked me. I could simply mention the main points that I wanted to learn/improve like communication, leadership, etc. Instead I came with lame and childish stories to rescue my answers. I did a terrible job there answering some of the questions but I don’t know maybe they saw my passion towards self-improvement that why they selected me. Anyway, since that day I still take the cringe about that terrible response. I felt so embarrassed after that interview that came to a point where I very quickly had a reflection on what went wrong, what terrible thing did I do. I learnt that that day I could simply utilize that description they advertised on the fields of improvements they were offering to support my answer and could’ve avoided childish and unprofessional approach. Since that day I have been more conscious to be specific with my answers to questions in an interview in the future.
